Where to Purchase

– David Weeks Studio products can be purchased by contacting the studio directly by emailing sales@davidweeksstudio.com or calling (212) 966-3433

Ordering Process

– Please email sales@davidweeksstudio.com to place an order or request a quote
– Please provide the fixture type (model number & name), metal finish, shade color and the number of tiers (if applicable).
– Fixtures that come in different sizes or tier lengths need to be specified before order placement. We are happy to provide size recommendations.
– Advise of overall drop length (measurement from ceiling to the bottom of the fixture). Fixed drops are NOT adjustable on site. Please refer to spec sheet to see if the fixture requires a cable or fixed drop. Confirm if fixture will be installed to a flat or sloped ceiling.
– If you would like us to make a recommendation regarding drop length, please provide a plan and elevation of the space with ceiling height, junction box location, and any other relevant dimensions such as table size, etc. clearly marked.
– Upon receipt of all above information and 50% deposit, we will provide a shop drawing for your approval.

Trade Discount

– David Weeks Studio extends a discount to trade professionals (i.e. designers, architect and lighting specifiers). To register, please download the registration form [here] and send the completed form with credentials to sales@davidweeksstudio.com

Lead Times

– Lead times begin from receipt of both deposit and signed drawing. General lead times are approximately 10-12 weeks; lead times vary depending on finish/color and should be confirmed at time of purchase. We do everything in our power to ensure timely delivery, however extended lead times may occur due to circumstances beyond our control.

Quick Ship

– A selection of fixtures are routinely available for quick ship and can be found by clicking here.
– Please contact sales@davidweeksstudio.com to confirm availability.
– Quick ship pieces require 100% payment, including crating and shipping fees. If your requested piece is not available, it can be made to order with a standard lead-time.
– Fixtures provided with a drop kit are ready for crating and shipping 5-7 days after the order is confirmed. Custom length drops are available with a 4-week lead time.

Powder Coating & Metal Finish Options

– Powder coating and metal finish samples are available and can be requested by contacting sales@davidweeksstudio.com
– We are able to accommodate custom color and finish requests.
– An upcharge and additional lead-time will apply custom color and finish requests.
– Colors may be specified as RAL, Benjamin Moore or Pantone colors. Custom colors are available in high gloss, semi-gloss or satin sheen.
– Custom finishes may be specified or matched with a provided sample.

Payment options

– Payment accepted via credit card (American Express, Mastercard & Visa), check, bank wire transfers, or cash.
– Custom orders require a minimum 50% deposit of total due at time of order. Balance is due prior to shipping. Stock items require 100% of total due at time of purchase.

Return Policy

– Quick ship purchases can be returned within 14 days of purchase if received unused in original packaging and perfect selling condition. A 15% restocking fee will be applied. Client is responsible for outbound and return shipping charges.
– Custom orders cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded. Custom orders cancelled prior to production are subject to 15% cancellation fee, balance issued in store credit only. If order production has begun, a cancellation cannot be accepted.

– Client is responsible for verifying field measurements for purchased items and confirming they will fit all ceiling heights, into egresses, hallways, doorways, stairways, elevators, etc. David Weeks Studio takes no responsibility in these regards.

Shipping & Logistics

– All shipments must be inspected immediately upon arrival. Any damage should be indicated to carrier at the time of delivery. Damage claims must be made to David Weeks Studio within 72 hours of delivery. Contact info@davidweeksstudio.com or call 212.966.3433 to report any damage.
– David Weeks Studio does not perform installation.
– Bulbs are not included with our shipments.

Installation & Lamping

– Install Instructions can be found here

– Please consult spec sheet or install instructions determine the type of bulb required. Cable suspended fixtures are balanced with a specified bulb, and only one style of bulb is used with each fixture. Using an unspecified style of bulb, or mixing different types of bulbs, could inhibit fixture’s ability to balance or function safely. It is imperative that suggested wattage is adhered to. Any damage caused to the fixture due to higher than recommended watt bulb, or due to non-recommended bulb, will void warranty.
– Bulbs are not included with our shipments.

Care & Maintenance

– David Weeks Studio products are crafted by hand at our studio in Brooklyn, NY. While we take the greatest care in the handling and manufacturing of our products, subtle variances and irregularities in finish and color are inherent in the production process and should not be considered as defects.
– Many metal finishes are applied by hand and may vary in color, tone and character. While DWS will make every effort to match a finish, no guarantee can be made of an exact match. We do not guarantee finishes against fading and oxidizing. Regular polishing is recommended. Arms, hardware and shades can be cleaned with a mild, non-ammonia-based spray cleaner or soft cloth to remove fingerprints or dust. Check to ensure that chosen cleaner is safe for your particular finish; if unsure, we recommend testing a small hidden area for reaction.
