David Weeks Studio invites you to a proof of concept installation of “Lorre” during this upcoming NYCxDesign. Inspired by the British term for material transport, Lorre is a flexible, movable light source that uses low voltage components and suspended cables. The cable supports any number of light weight diffusers which can be repositioned, resized and rescaled. The low voltage system frees the fixture of the heavy wires, and allows the structure of the system to become more architectural. Lorre is designed to adapt and conform to any spacial environment, allowing for a sculptural lighting piece that can be part of a larger architectural gesture.
